Now, I will start by saying, this is not a normal review. I am going to be writing about my experience at the BoxMaster Boxing Style conditioning class. My background is mostly in martial arts and boxing, however I have started to take fitness classes at various gyms.
Boxing style conditioning is catching on in gyms across the country. In fact, there aren’t many members that I’ve spoken to that haven’t at least tried it once. For some, the impact of the gloves on a heavy bag was just too much. Others found themselves tackling it with enthusiasm and were all too eager to test their abilities both against a 250-pound heavy bag and off-balance opponents (who can blame them?). Still others fell victim to time constraints and the need for an alternative option that could be applied to multiple training programs.
I’m going to be honest with you, the BoxMaster kit I tested was awesome and I couldn’t stop using it. This is the first boxing kit that can actually replicate the moves of a boxer on pads. The key to its design is the spring system attached to each pad. These springs have been designed to replicate punching a focus mitt, by offering a slight “give” in the pads on impact. Each pad has been positioned specifically to replicate different styles of punching, allowing the participant to throw any punch, or any combination of punches. The result is a significant reduction in the risk of injury to both the members and the instructor while delivering an unparalleled boxing experience.
